CMSD Competency-Based Course Frameworks

This comprehensive collection of competency-based high school course frameworks is rooted in the Mastery Learning model. Prepared for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, every subject includes course frameworks that are clearly articulated with content area competencies and course knowledge that students should demonstrate mastery of in order to earn course credit. Kristen conducted extensive research to develop the competencies and ensure course knowledge aligned with Ohio Learning Standards. Kristen designed each course framework, oversaw implementation, and facilitated ongoing trainings and coaching sessions with educators at the seven high schools utilizing the frameworks.
